Flowers and Bees {Palmyra Macro Monday}

Last week while I had the macro lens on the camera, a few native flowers and bees found their way into the viewfinder, along with a honeybee enjoying some white clover.

Hope you enjoy the images that resulted! They aren’t 100% perfect, but there are different things visible on each that we all enjoyed seeing. One of these days, the ducks and chickens will be featured, as I have time between clients, too.

Does anyone know what sort of flower this is? Possibly a mallow?

A worker bee’s life expectancy isn’t more than 30-45 days. They almost literally beat themselves to death when they collect nectar and pollen, and travel in and out of the hive so frequently.

This honeybee just started to fill its pollen cup. See the few grains of pollen in its hind leg?
