A lovely church was built in the nearby city of Lebanon (this is leb-ah-nen, not pronounced as the country of leb-ah-non). This church wasn’t the only church built in this era or town, but was awfully fun to explore last fall. Thanks to a generous friend, we were able to climb the bell tower to view the city, which was one of the neatest things that I’ve seen in a while.
This stunning, gothic-style church has so many hidden secrets, but one of the best may have been listening to the organist practice while we explored. Have you ever been able to feel the air coming from the pipes of an organ? Feeling the whoosh, the deep, resonating vibrations was enough to make you feel as though you’re a kid in a candy store.
