Happenings at DB Impressions bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog!

    I'm supposed to write something about myself here...which I'm not good at! I'm Diane, a lifestyle portrait photographer in the Palmyra, PA area. I first really got into photography so that I could stop taking my kids to the "box" studios for their images...and I wanted good action shots. As I started learning some of the basics of how to use my camera and the light around me, I really became intrigued...and here I am today, creating what I hope are images of a lifetime for my clients. Some of my favorite sessions are seniors and babies and I enjoy making people look good in intimate sessions as well (these are featured on a separate blog).

Random Ramblings for a Rainy Monday

My first revelation this morning: “farm” type chores are *gasp* peaceful and fulfilling. Some of my closest friends know that for the past few years, I’ve struggled a little bit to find that inner peace that we’re all after. Right now, on our happy little plot of land, we’ve got Sasha, the vegan dog (she’s...

Peabody is very handsome! Glad you liked the yogurt. I’m definitely a convert! I’ll never buy the stuff again :)

The amazing power of kindness (Sasha’s story)

Yesterday, I gave up. I came to grips with the fact that we’d never see our buddy again. The day before, I broke down and sobbed…a few times. Today? Well, as much as I’d like to kick myself for not having enough faith…there’s too much joy in all our hearts to worry about it for...

We looked around the quarry with the spot light the last few nights, and were hoping to see her. The quarry guys are great people. I new my brother in law would also get the work out to the guys to keep an eye out for her, and to help her. Word gets around fast there due to the great communication they all have. So glad you got her back,now the family can feel like a whole… :)

I’m so glad the guys found her!!!

Hurricane Sandy/Staten Island

Our area had been predicted to be almost directly in the path of Sandy as “she” came inland. Thankfully for us, it turned as it made landfall. Sadly though, several other costal areas were hit hard. You know all this already though, right? Right. Anyway…friends from college ended up being pretty badly affected by the...

Orion {Palmyra, PA Equine Photographer}

Yesterday, the kids and I had the treat of venturing to a friend’s barn…to see the 36-hour-old colt her mare gave birth to. Holy smokes is he cute! Since I rarely go anywhere without the camera…I grabbed a few snaps of him, to be able to say thanks to my pal.And, we’re going to see...
