Happenings at DB Impressions bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog!

    I'm supposed to write something about myself here...which I'm not good at! I'm Diane, a lifestyle portrait photographer in the Palmyra, PA area. I first really got into photography so that I could stop taking my kids to the "box" studios for their images...and I wanted good action shots. As I started learning some of the basics of how to use my camera and the light around me, I really became intrigued...and here I am today, creating what I hope are images of a lifetime for my clients. Some of my favorite sessions are seniors and babies and I enjoy making people look good in intimate sessions as well (these are featured on a separate blog).

Flowers {Palmyra, PA Photographer}

I had opportunity to “play” last week after one of our rain storms…there were lots of bright colors, mixed with rain drops! Pretty fun combination.Would love to hear which you like the best!

Kevin, Canon. :) I “grew up” with the system and haven’t had the inclination to explore anything else. These were with the 100mm macro and heavily cropped. :) I got lucky that there was no wind, my focal points stayed RIGHT where I wanted them and I got exactly what I was looking for. :)

Favorite is the Fourth one down, or second to last one up from the bottom – the “Pink Flower, Drop by the Garden”.

I love how you can see so many flowers inside the tiny drop of water- it is just waiting to splash down.

Are you shooting Canon or Nikon…. which lens were you using… or was this just a macro filter?

These are just stunning! I think I like the third one best, because of all the texture, but I’d love to hang any one of these on my walls!

Summer and life and….

Does this not look ABSOLUTELY divine? Well, it was! (I didn’t even used to LIKE black raspberries!)

I love summer. Absolutely love it. Including the ridiculous amounts of work that come with it, I love every moment. I love the heat, I love the pool, I love the copious amounts of fruit that are ripe for...

Macro Monday: Mini Irises! {Palmyra, PA Photographer}

This has GOT to be a sure sign that spring is coming, right? My own flowers are just barely poking above the ground….but just a few miles away, my grandma already has some splashes of oh-so-beautiful color!

Aren’t they awesome? Seems that our Maker loves to give us hope…

Tiffany - March 24, 2009 - 12:25 pm

Very nice D! I’m so jealous flowers are already popping up in your area.

Lisa's Chaos - March 24, 2009 - 11:58 am

Magnificent! I love mini-irises!! Spring is surely near!

Lulda Casadaga - March 23, 2009 - 10:35 pm

The color is simply amazing…wish I had those pretty flowers growing in my yard! :D
It is funny how one day you look and there is color emerging from that tree and then that little garden patch over there…it surely is a nice way to be greeted.

Cheery Flowers!

Someone sent Blondie (my daughter) some flowers this weekend, as they saw how poorly she was feeling on Friday. I asked her if I could borrow them for a few shots….below is the result! Hope you enjoy them!

Personal Favorite…

Close second….

You know….I don’t DISlike any of these shots though. Hope they brightened your day a bit!
